Eastern Michigan's Distance Learning Policy for Library Services

Interlibrary Loan

If EMU does not own a journal or a book, you can request that it be borrowed from another library. To do this, you initiate an interlibrary loan request. Here are the steps to follow:
1- Go to http://www.emich.edu/library
2- Go to the Interlibrary loan link at the bottom of the website.
3-At the login page, input your EMU username and password and click the button that says Logon to ILLiad.
4-If you have never requested anything from interlibrary loan before, you will be asked to answer some user information. Click the Submit Information button.
5-At the status line, pull down the menu and highlight Extended Education Programs.
6-When you are finished with user information, click the Submit Information button.
7-Click book, article (photocopy), or thesis.
8-Fill out the bibliographic information of the item.
9-Click the Submit button.
